Born and raised in the UK, Billy’s first encounter with America came through the Sutton Trust, where he was among the inaugural cohort of students to be accepted to their US Programme. It was on this program that he began his mentoring and tutoring experiences, working as a Team Leader on the same summer school for three years.

Billy graduated in 2017 from Yale University with a B.A. in English and moved back to the U.K. to work in education. He has worked as a Tutor for Explore Learning and a Content Producer for Code Kingdoms, where his highlight was developing and hosting a podcast about young game developers.

Billy currently serves as a University Advisor & Standard Tutor.

Outside of work, Billy aspires to be a screenwriter, and is currently working on his third project. When in the throes of writer’s block, he procrastinates with long distance running at London City Runners, and trying to find room in his budget for a dog, preferably a Husky
