Meet the Team

Sasha has completed an MPhil in Linguistics, Philology, and Phonetics from the University of Oxford. At Oxford, he distinguished himself as an equality representative in Balliol College's Middle Common Room and as a peer supporter, organizing numerous community events and becoming a valued member of the college community.

Previously, Sasha graduated summa cum laude from New York University, where he majored in Language and Mind. His academic journey included three semesters in Florence focusing on Italian studies, and a semester in Hawai'i exploring sciences. He also contributed to two language acquisition laboratories, facilitating engaging and enjoyable research participation for children aged 8 months to 16 years. Beyond his academic pursuits, Sasha was actively involved in Ballroom and Latin dancing, achieving gold level and serving as the president of the Ballroom and Latin Club under the guidance of his mentors.

Following his undergraduate studies, Sasha served as the Lab Manager for an experimental philosophy of language lab at the University of Southern California. In this role, he mentored research assistants on conducting ethical and scientific studies with young participants, collaborated with the lab director to enhance the lab's structure to empower the research assistants, and promptly responded to the needs of the student research assistants amid growing pandemic threats.

Sasha initiated his teaching career last summer by leading a course for the Oxford Royale Academy, where he instructed sixteen students aged fourteen to eighteen on the principles of experimental psychology. His teaching approach, characterized by fostering student-led discussions, significantly bolstered each student's confidence in their scientific capabilities.

Throughout his various roles and in his tutoring efforts, Sasha has remained steadfast in his commitment to the enrichment, development, and confidence of his students. He is dedicated to providing the same level of exceptional mentorship he received, enabling his students to attain confidence in their academic endeavours, self-assurance in the university environment, and access to pivotal opportunities.

Sasha was primarily raised in northern New Jersey but also spent three years of his secondary education at the Anglo-American School of Moscow. He is currently based in Oxford and London, where his family resides.
