Phoebe Turner

Phoebe was born and raised in the UK, and from a young age, Gymnastics was her passion. Her dedication was thoroughly rewarded when she was selected to represent Great Britain as part of the GB squad for 5 years. Although she was quite keen to continue in her sport, after finishing her A-Levels, Phoebe also wanted to further her education, which drove her to explore her athletic and academic options in the US.

After navigating the US University recruitment and application process on her own, Phoebe was awarded a full athletic scholarship to attend Iowa State University, becoming a key member of their gymnastics programme. Through her athletic and academic career, she achieved many sporting and academic awards (including being named on the Academic All-Big 12 Gymnastics First Team in 2021 and 2022!). Phoebe graduated from ISU with a BA in Sociology and a minor in Human Development and Family Studies, and she has now returned home to the UK eager to share her experiences with all prospective students looking to start their US university journey.
