How do I register for the SAT?

To register for any SAT test dates, visit the official College Board website and sign in to make a SAT test booking.

When should I take the SAT?

It is recommended that you sit the SAT for the first time during spring term of your junior year, then again during autumn term of your senior year before application deadlines for score improvement. Our students significantly improve their scores as they get more familiar with the test by taking it multiple times.

Can I reschedule my SAT test date?

Yes. Remember to make sure any changes to your test date are made before the deadline for Changes, Regular Cancellation, and Late Registration.

How many times should I sit the SAT?

Generally, students sit the test up to three times.

The first sit is all about experience: getting a feel for taking an official test among students you may not have seen before, all in a strictly monitored test.

The second sit is a better showcase of content and techniques as the flutters of the novelty of an "official experience" have been subdued.

The third sit, if needed, is a final top up of scores, maximising your superscore across the test.

Roughly 90% of schools accept superscored results.

Can I take the SAT outside of the US?

Yes. You can sit the SAT at one of the international test centres located around the world, including the UK.
