Social Media Executive and Marketing Assistant

As the Social Media Executive and Marketing Assistant at A-List, you'll help shape our digital marketing efforts. You'll increase our online profile, engage more with our customers, and support the growth of our business. Reporting to the Head of Marketing, you'll craft digital content, manage our social media, and support varied daily marketing tasks. We need someone energetic, results-driven, and ready to tackle multiple tasks with set deadlines.
Job responsibilities:
Content creation
- Oversee the content calendar, ensuring all outputs align with our brand's voice and guidelines
- Develop diverse written and visual content, including long form in-depth articles, video segments, guides, infographics, short-form posts, and more, utilising design tools such as Canva
- Stay updated with industry-relevant topics to ensure our content remains relevant
- Work with other departments to source insights or stories that resonate with our audiences
Social Media management
- Manage our social media channels, ensuring posts are consistent and reflect our brand's values
- Engage with our audience by responding to comments, direct messages, and mentions to foster a sense of community and trust
- Monitor trends, adapting our approach to leverage popular themes or discussions
Website Support (using HubSpot CMS)
- Regularly update our website content, from blog posts and webinar uploads to event notifications and the latest announcements
- Implement best practices in SEO, ensuring all content – be it metadata, alt tags, or keywords – is optimally placed
- Track website analytics, identifying user behaviour patterns and areas of potential improvement
Email (HubSpot)
- Design, test, and deploy email campaigns that capture the attention of our segmented audience, all while adhering to our brand's guidelines
- Produce compelling email content, including copy, graphics, and other media
- Monitor key metrics of email campaigns, including open rates, click-through rates, conversion rates, and bounce rates
Other
- Analyse content performance metrics, delivering monthly reports and identifying potential areas of improvement
- Support a range of marketing-related tasks or projects as the need arises
Essential requirements
- Strong writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrable experience in crafting consistent and brand-aligned content, including videos for social media platforms.
- Proven experience in digital marketing, content creation, and social media management.
- Proficiency with social media platforms and marketing software, e.g., Crowdfire, HubSpot
- Ability to monitor content performance metrics and generate monthly reports.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data for informed decisions.
- Aptitude to suggest improvements based on content performance data.
- Basic graphic design and video editing skills using Canva.
- Attention to Detail: Detail-oriented with an exceptional ability to manage tasks meticulously.
- Teamwork & Independence: Proven capability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
Desirable requirements
- Advanced graphic design and video editing skills, with proficiency in Adobe Suite
- Experience within education consultancies, especially familiarity with the US college education system.
- Advanced experience with HubSpot CMS and HubSpot Email Marketing
