How do I register for the ACT?
To register for any ACT test dates, visit the ACT Student website and sign in to make an ACT test booking.
When should I take the ACT?
We advise taking the SAT for the first time in the spring term of your junior year, followed by a second attempt in the autumn term of your senior year, ahead of application deadlines, to enhance your scores. Our students consistently boost their performance with each subsequent test, as they get more familiar with test-taking strategies.
Can I reschedule my ACT test date?
Yes. You can reschedule your test date by logging in to your MyACT account by the late registration deadline. You will be charged an additional change fee. Read more about test date change and test centre change on the official ACT website.
How many times should I sit the ACT?
Students generally take the ACT two to three times.
The initial attempt allows you to familiarise yourself with the official test environment and fellow test-takers.
Subsequent attempts serve as a more refined display of your knowledge and test-taking strategies, building upon the initial exposure.
If necessary, a third attempt can serve as a final opportunity to increase your scores and optimise your superscore for the test.
Roughly 90% of schools accept superscored results. For the ACT, this means the highest of all four individual sections averaged together.
Can I take the ACT outside of the US?
Yes. You can sit the ACT at one of the international test centres located around the world, including the UK.
