Claudia specialises in SAT and ACT test preparation, with additional experience in essay- and creative-writing and critical reading. Her practice draws heavily on her time volunteering as a student peer counsellor, prioritising an individualised approach to each student that helps them to understand, formulate, and synthesise concepts in their own language and personal patterns of thinking. More recently, she has worked as an artistic mentor with the Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance
Claudia grew up in Newbury in West Berkshire and was the first student from her school to attend an American university, receiving a BA with Honors in Social Studies from Harvard University in 2020. Her core academic work was in political philosophy and aesthetics, but she also used the opportunity to study her additional interests in English, theatre, economics, and history, as well as taking graduate-level classes at the Harvard School of Education. She devoted her extracurricular time to promoting arts accessibility on campus, running workshops and events for inexperienced or first-time artists through both the Harvard Advocate literary magazine and the Hyperion Shakespeare Company.
Outside of teaching, Claudia is a poet, a theatre-maker, and a musician. She studied poetry writing with Jorie Graham and Joshua Bell and is a founding member of The Goat Exchange theater company. She is also a trained clown, having studied at L’Ecole Philippe Gaulier in Paris.
