School Events Tutors

Overview

We are looking for enthusiastic tutors, experienced in English and Maths, to join our team and support students in preparing for their SAT & ACT exams!

Tutors should be available to travel up to 1-2 hours by train from central London and have availability on weekday afternoons and evenings.

All materials and syllabi will be provided, and you will receive paid training to ensure you're prepared before starting.

Job responsibilities

  • Provide tutoring to students in school courses (small group setting) and privately (1-1), focusing on one or both sections of the SAT/ACT exams.
  • Conduct interactive teaching sessions using provided resources to guide students through SAT/ACT material.
  • Offer support and guidance on personal statements, providing advice when needed.
  • Assess and provide feedback on students’ homework weekly via our online system.

What we expect from you

  • Prior tutoring or teaching experience
  • Legal right to live and work in the UK
  • Commitment to at least one year of hourly tutoring
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • Graduate degree from a top US university (not essential but preferred)
  • Ability to work in-person with clients
  • Willingness to commute 1-2 hours weekly (travel time is compensated)
  • A good score on the SAT or ACT

Rate of pay

£55 per hour for in-person courses, with compensation for travel time at £20 per hour.
