Meet the Team

For the past 15 years, Harvey Miller has worked as a university adviser in international schools and educational consultancies in his home country of Jamaica, China, Costa Rica, Armenia, and most recently the UK. He has helped countless students, hailing from diverse backgrounds, to gain admission to a wide array of universities in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, the Netherlands, and various other countries around the globe.

Harvey thrives on being an enthusiastic, empathetic and encouraging guide for students through the university application process, which many may initially find daunting and labyrinthine. He especially appreciates the personal development and self-discovery that the process incites in his students: while deciding on ‘best fit’ institutions to apply to, writing personal essays, and even requesting recommendations from teachers, students with Harvey’s support learn to reflect meaningfully, write compellingly, and advocate for themselves confidently; at the end of this journey, students emerge more empowered, independent, and resilient.

Harvey’s commitment to education ignited during his undergraduate years at Yale University through his experiences tutoring students in the local New Haven community. Upon graduating with a B.A. in History, he worked as a full-time tutor at a charter high school as part of MATCH Corps, a one-year urban education fellowship in Boston, Massachusetts. Beyond his professional pursuits, Harvey considers himself an “explorer of the Great Indoors”: in his spare time, he enjoys watching TV shows and movies, listening to podcasts and music and slowly (very slowly) making his way through the ever-growing collection of books on his shelf and Kindle.
